From 5368c46453223acf87de7ef89a35a37402c2d8eb Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: wm4 Date: Sat, 28 Jul 2012 18:15:33 +0200 Subject: Rename DOCS/tech/ to DOCS/OUTATED-tech/ While DOCS/tech/ contains lots of documentation about mplayer's internals, most of it seems outdated, and hasn't been touched in many years. On the other hand, there still might be useful things in there, but it's hard to tell which parts. Instead of deleting all it, rename the directory to "warn" potential developers that the documentation is completely outdated. --- DOCS/OUTDATED-tech/swscaler_filters.txt | 19 +++++++++++++++++++ 1 file changed, 19 insertions(+) create mode 100644 DOCS/OUTDATED-tech/swscaler_filters.txt (limited to 'DOCS/OUTDATED-tech/swscaler_filters.txt') diff --git a/DOCS/OUTDATED-tech/swscaler_filters.txt b/DOCS/OUTDATED-tech/swscaler_filters.txt new file mode 100644 index 0000000000..11e2aa4017 --- /dev/null +++ b/DOCS/OUTDATED-tech/swscaler_filters.txt @@ -0,0 +1,19 @@ +software scaler filter docs + +-ssf cgb= chrominance gaussian blur + useful for videos with some chroma (color) noise (TV captures, VHS, ...) + +-ssf lgb= -> luminance gaussian blur + hmm, mostly special effect, could be used as lame noise reducer though + +-ssf chs= -> shift chrominance horizontally +-ssf cvs= -> shift chrominance vertically + useful if the luma & chroma are not aligned exactly + +-ssf cs= -> chrominance sharpen +-ssf ls= -> luminance sharpen + simple sharpening filter + +note: these will only work if the swscaler is used at all (use -vf scale) + +example: mplayer foobar.avi -vf scale -ssf lgb=3.0 -- cgit v1.2.3
